Day 2: Dong Van – Du Gia (90 km)
Du Gia is a peaceful valley with villages of Tay ethnic minority having been here for centuries living by farming and fishing. This remote region has become well-known for its tranquility, idyllic landscapes and hospitality.
The second day is a short day for riding but a big day for seeing. With 90 km of thrilling mountain roads descending from the peak, cruising along the lush valley and ascending to the mountain, it promises an eye-opening and soul-refreshing day.
Firstly, we start our day with an easy ride to the Monument of Happiness Road where you get stories of the work and local life in this region, then walk to the famous Death Cliff for a panorama of awesome scenery.
We then drive to Nho Que Hydroelectric Power Plant, get a boat cruise on the jewel-blue river, capture breathtaking Tu San Canyon and picturesque villages.
On the way to Du Gia, we stop at some random viewpoints to enjoy the beauty of rice terraces, Lung Ho valley and French history relics.
We cheer for the second day at a homestay where locals welcome us with their homemade “ happy water” and family dinner.
